Interested in Fostering?
Fostering is a providing a temporary home for animals in need.
It changes the lives of our rescues by giving them the time, care and love needed on their journey to finding their forever homes.
Read through the points below and reach out to the team if fostering with Moggies sounds like a fit for you.
Community
All of our animals are precious to us, so are our foster families! Becoming a foster parent means joining the Moggies family. We'll do our best to look after you so you can look after the Moggies!
Experience is appreciated but communication is key. You can learn on the job, all we ask is that there's the ability to communicate if we need to touch base.
Time
Often our rescue animals need rehabilitation and the time needed for this will be case by case. Sick animals will need access to transport to the vets and confidence with administering medication. Our unsocialised babies (wildies) will need patience, kindness and above all, love.
We ask our fosters to commit to a minimum foster period of 2 weeks or until their foster litter is adopted.
Space
Can you provide a separate space to put a playpen/large inclosure to settle your fosters in? Spare rooms are ideal!
Once settled, the goal is to socialise cats/kittens within a family dynamic so exposure to everyday routines are encouraged. A safe space to return to is a must! Our kittens are also fostered indoors so we can keep them warm, dry and comfortable.
Supplies
A basic set up of a litterbox/s, bowls, playpen, toys and bedding are always available to fosters. Flea/worm treatments and vet bills are covered!
Food can be provided and we'll help out where we can with litter.
The more you're comfortable with supplying yourself the more we can put towards vet bills.
